This DVD addresses a number of issues one must face in order to render an accurate interpretation of the Miranda Warnings. The DVD features three outstanding interpreters, Sharon Neumann Solow, Theresa Smith and Anna Witter-Merithew, known for their interpretation work in legal settings and for conducting training related to interpreting in legal settings. Each of these interpreters produced an in-studio rendition of the Miranda Warnings.
The late Lou Rant leads a one-hour discussion with these three internationallly-known interpreters that addresses several topics surrounding accurate interpretation of the Miranda Warnings. Perhaps the most fascinating portion of this DVD is the section-by-section viewing and discussion of the three interpretations. [DVD: (2007) 1 hour] DVDs not returnable once opened.
